All events are sanctioned. You will need a valid photo I.D. along with proof of current USFA membership. If you do not have a printed USFA membership confirmation or card, you will need your USFA membership number in hand during registration. Collegiate Competitive members need to have a verified membership prior to close of registration. If the fencer is a minor without a driver’s license or state-issued I.D., a school I.D., passport, or birth certificate copy will serve as identity verification. We are required by the USFA to verify identity of each fencer prior to competition. All fencers will be required to sign a waiver prior to participation. Any fencers under the age of 18 will need to have a completed waiver in hand at registration if not attending the event with a parent or legal guardian.
Masks and gloves will be checked during registration. Each fencer must have at least two body cords (mask cords where necessary) and an additional weapon near the strip. All foil fencers with chest protectors must comply with the soft cover rule introduced last season. Fencers competing in multiple events on the same day should check in for all events at once. P-Card rules will be used in situations of noncom. The organizers reserve the right to implement a cutoff no stricter than 75% if above 80 fencers are in a given event.
If you are interested in refereeing, we are looking for referees in all weapons! Email us at email@example.com with your full name and capabilities, or reach out to Elya Courtney. You must be SafeSport certified with current referee certifications that will not expire before the tournament dates. Format and referee details will be very similar to last year.
